Effective date: October 27, 2026. Version note: the age-range, minor-protection, “Share app analytics,” and revised deletion controls described in this policy are introduced in Walkie 1.0.1 and apply when that version is installed. Walkie 1.0 does not provide those new controls. Contact [email protected] for privacy requests, including requests about information processed by an earlier version.

KOOP LLC operates Walkie: Dog Walk App Blocker (“Walkie”). This policy explains information handling for the Walkie app, its dedicated legal and support pages, and communications with Walkie support. It does not describe unrelated Koop Ventures products or the entire company website.

Walkie helps people build a dog-walking routine by using Apple Screen Time to restrict selected apps until a walking goal is verified. No separate Walkie account is required. Not having an account does not mean no information is processed: Apple services and our analytics and subscription providers handle information needed for their functions.

Information used to provide Walkie

The distinction between on-device processing, private iCloud storage, and information sent to our providers matters. Information used by a feature on your iPhone is not necessarily information available to KOOP LLC.

Walk location and activity

When you start a walk and allow location access, Walkie processes precise GPS coordinates, timestamps, location accuracy, and related movement information to record the route, measure distance and active time, and check whether the walk qualifies. Location updates can continue while the app is backgrounded or the screen is locked during an active walk. Walkie stops its walk-recording location updates when you pause or end the session.

On supported devices, Walkie also uses Apple motion-activity information during a walk to distinguish walking or running from driving or cycling and adjust walking credit. Those motion updates stop when the session is paused or ended. If motion information is unavailable, GPS-based checks may still be used. This feature is not a medical assessment.

Saved walk history includes routes, dates, duration, distance, and completion information. It is stored on the device and may sync through your private Apple iCloud database. KOOP LLC does not operate a route-upload service or receive route coordinates through Walkie’s defined analytics events. Apple processes information needed to provide iCloud and map features under its applicable terms and privacy information.

Dog profile, photos, and stickers

Walkie processes the dog name and photo you provide and the stickers generated from that photo. Camera access is used when you take a photo; photo-library access or the system picker is used when you choose an existing image. Avoid supplying photos or other information about people unless you have permission to use them.

Dog recognition and foreground-cutout processing use Apple Vision on your device. This sticker-processing flow does not upload the photo to an external AI service. Original photos and generated stickers are stored locally and may separately sync through your private iCloud database. A smaller sticker image can be shared locally with Walkie’s widget and blocking-screen extensions.

Screen Time selections and settings

With your authorization, Walkie uses Apple Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity to apply the app restrictions and schedules you choose. Selections are represented by Apple-protected tokens, rather than a list of readable app names sent to KOOP LLC. The iOS app does not send those tokens or selected-app identities to PostHog or Superwall.

The app and its extensions share selected-app tokens, blocking state, schedules, completion state, and limited bypass information through local App Group storage. Supported goals, schedules, and preferences may sync through private iCloud; your device’s Screen Time selection is maintained locally. Walkie does not obtain your messages, browsing contents, or the contents of selected apps through this blocking feature.

Subscriptions and purchases

Apple handles payment for App Store subscriptions. Walkie does not receive or store your full payment-card number or security code. The app and subscription providers process product identifiers, purchase or transaction information made available by Apple, and subscription or entitlement status to grant access, restore purchases, and manage subscription functionality.
